'Nisiotes' Greek Dancers

Our Folk Dance Ministry is dedicated to promoting, encouraging, and perpetuating Greek heritage and culture through folk dance, folk art, music and language.

Our two Greek folk dance groups - Nisiotopoula (gr. Island Children) & Nisiotes (gr. Islanders) - are composed of members of our Parish who meet weekly to learn traditional dances from the various folkloric traditions of Greece.

Featured at our Annual Greek Festival in August each year, our dancers are also available for performances throughout the year. Contact our Church Office to make arrangements.

CHOIR

"Let everything that breathes praise the Lord. Praise the lord from the Heavens, praise Him in the heights. To You, O God, praise is due."

It has been said that “to sing at the Divine Liturgy is like praying twice.” We invite anyone interested to join us in learning the hymns of the Church and lead the Congregation in prayer responses. While some knowledge of music is helpful, it is not a requirement; a good voice is most welcome, but a so-so voice is also pleasing to the Lord’s ear.

Interested to join? Speak with our Director, Orest Saikeyvich or our Parish Priest. Choir rehearses each Sunday morning, prior to the Divine Liturgy.

'Sacred Treasures' Bookstore

There are many in Hawaii who know nothing of Orthodox Christianity. We aim to change that! Our mission is to serve Orthodox Christians while reaching out to the people of Hawaii of all faith backgrounds.

We aim to be more than a bookstore. We are a place where people can relax, look around, make friends, and pray. We want to be a place where people can experience the mystery of Christ, learn about Him, and meet friendly Orthodox Christians.

Whether it's a book on the Orthodox Faith, Spirituality, an Icon, music CD or a gift for yourself or someone else, you're sure to find it in the bookstore - or we'll be glad to order it for you!

We are open Sundays, following Services (approx. 11am) and weekdays 9am - 1pm, when the Church Office is open. Please call the office (521-7220) before coming down - someone will be glad to open the bookstore for you.

Whether research or purchase, our bookstore/library has something for everyone.
